NFL Picks Week 16

The NFL playoff race is starting to heat up. We are 2 weeks away from Wild Card Weekend. This week will probably be the most important week of the NFL season thus far. So for my very first NFL picks on this blog:
The Game of the Week:
Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers: Both teams are fighting for the playoffs. Pittsburgh 13 Baltimore 10
The Boring Game of the Week: Oakland Raiders @ Cleveland Browns: This is what football is about. NOT
Oakland 23 Cleveland 16
Other Picks
San Diego Chargers @ Tennessee Titans: VY has the Titans rolling. Tennessee 31 San Diego 27
Buffalo Bills @ Atlanta Falcons: Falcons have been hit by the injury bug, but they still won't lose to Buffalo. Atlanta 24 Buffalo 9

Kansas City Chiefs @ Cincinnati Bengals: The underrated storyline of the week: LJ is playing against his former team. Cincy 31 KC 6
Seattle Seahawks @ Green Bay Packers: Seahawks are out while the Packers are fighting to keep a playoff spot. GB 27 Seattle 12
Houston Texans @ Miami Dolphins: This is a tough one to pick. I just feel like Houston has the weapons to keep Miami off-balance. Houston 24 Miami Dolphins 23
Carolina Panthers @ New York Giants: Giants really can't afford to lose this or their done. Will Carolina ruin Christmas for the G-Men? No NYG 17 Carolina 14
Jacksonville Jaguars @ New England Patriots: Patriots+Tom Brady+December=NE 24 Jacksonville 20
Tampa Bay Bucanneers @ New Orleans Saints: Some would call this a trap game. The trap game was last week. The loss might have done them a favor in the long run. New Orleans: 45 Tampa Bay 14
St. Louis Rams @ Arizona Cardinals: Do not be surprised if the Rams give the Cards a run for their money. Arizona 30 St. Louis 24

Detroit Lions @ San Fransisco 49ers: Mike Singletary is a great coach. He just does not have the talent to go to the playoffs this year. The record shows. But don't worry they are playing the Lions who have not found their stride in well over a decade. SF 21 Detroit 10

Denver Broncos @ Philadelphia Eagles: What a great game this will be. Who will be more hungrier? Denver wants the playoffs and the Eagles are trying to wrap up the NFC East. Coming into Philly, the Broncos will have a tough task. Philly 27 Denver 20

New York Jets @ Indianapolis Colts: The Jets shot themselves in the foot last week. Now they have to face the always tough Colts. Sorry Jets, no playoffs this year. Indy 31  NYJ 17
Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins: Washington is in turmoil after an embarassing defeat. Luckily, they are playing a Dallas team in the DECEMBER cold. I think it will matter only a litte. Dallas 20 Washington 16
Minnesota Vikings@ Chicago Bears: Don't look past the Bears. They can be tough on their turf. Brett Favre and company need to bounce back or else it will be a one and done for Big Purple this year. Minn 31 Chicago 10

thanks for reading, I will post more picks next Friday then it will be Playoff time. Read tomorrows blog about the Favre/Childress situation.
NFL Fact of the Week: The Who will perform in Super Bowl 44 during the halftime festivities.

My First Blog.

Okay, so this is my very first blog. I am going to attempt blogging for the first time in my life. I am hoping to one day find a field in sports broadcasting so I hoped this would be a start. This blog is going to be my take on the sports world. Before you start regularly reading my blog I want you to know a few things about my sports interests:
I love football. Carolina Panthers are my favorite team. I live just two hours away from Charlotte, NC. In basketball, I like the Duke Blue Devils. This comes from my father who likes the Duke Blue Devils. I do like college football, but I hate the BCS. Atlanta Braves are the closest baseball team so they are my favorite baseball team. I will be covering topics from all things sports. My passion for sports are great. My next blog will be my take on the upcoming NFL playoffs. Have a Merry Christmas!
